The Macon County School System takes pride in hiring the most qualified applicants. Any employment offer is contingent upon Board approval. Following a recommendation and Board approval for a position with the Macon County School District, all certified and classified employees must complete a background check.

Employment vacancies and online applications may be viewed and completed by visiting the Alabama State Department of Education click here to view current openings with the Macon County Board of  Education.  Please note that Macon County is district Five (5). No paper applications will be accepted at the District’s Office. 

If at any time a prospective employee has difficulty completing an online application, human resources personnel will be available to assist. Additionally, an online job center is located in the Human Resources Department for those persons who need access to a computer.
