Mrs. K. Provo-Library Media

I am Keyauna Maddox-Provo, and my passion for teaching is rooted in my deep care for each of my students. Working with children as a Library Media Specialist is both a privilege and a calling. Witnessing the spark of accomplishment when they conquer challenges or the joy of new friendships forming brings me immense satisfaction. Before my current role, I spent 16 years as an elementary teacher, a journey that has greatly enriched my understanding of education.

My educational path led me to Alabama State University in Montgomery, Alabama, where I earned my bachelor's, master's, and Ed.S degrees, all in Early Childhood Education. A desire for further knowledge led me back to pursue a second master's degree, this time in Applied Technology. This diverse educational background equips me to guide students in acquiring and honing their reading, listening, and communication skills.

In my role as a media specialist, I strive to drive the evolution of literacy skills in today's schools. The changing landscape of education demands a fresh perspective on how we nurture these skills in students. My journey, marked by academic achievements and years of teaching experience, has fueled my commitment to shaping the trajectory of young learners' lives. My goal remains steadfast: to instill a love for learning, empower their literacy journey, and contribute to positive educational transformations.
