New Teacher, welcome to Macon County Schools! Here, we want you to SUCCEED!! SUCCEED means Support, Uplift, Care, & Collegiality for Emerging Educators in our District. Our new teacher program is being implemented to provide new educators with the tools and support needed to be a success here in our school system. The foundation of the SUCCEED program was built around five core principles that will be the focus of all aspects of the program.
The SUCCEED core principles are illustrated in Fig. 1.1 below.
As a New Teacher in Macon County, you will be provided with the training, resources and materials to be successful in each of the core principles, but it will be the relationships you build in this first year that will help you to truly SUCCEED. The Human Resources/Professional Development Department would like to welcome you to the District and hope that your experience in this program provides opportunity for professional growth and impacts you in the classroom.
Macon County SUCCEED Program will be presented in a hybrid format consisting of face-to-face meetings, online assignments and submissions, online discussion boards, observations and feedback, and support from the Human Resources/Professional Development Department. Again, we are excited to have the opportunity to serve our New Teachers and to provide the support necessary to be successful in today’s classroom. Welcome to the Macon County School District and thank you for your commitment to the students of that you will serve each and every day.
