Library Mission Statement
The George Washington Carver Library Media Center’s mission coincides with the school’s mission which is to construct partnerships between school, parents and the community that empower our students to develop into productive, self-motivated individuals with a life- long love for learning by providing a safe and comfortable environment enriched with academic excellence by ensuring that students and staff are effective users of ideas and information.
This mission will be accomplished by:
- Providing access to materials in all formats.
- Providing instruction to foster competence and stimulate interest in reading, viewing and using information and ideas.
- Working with other educators to design learning strategies to meet the needs of individual students.
