D.C. Wolfe School

Dean of Students - TriShonne Tullos Cornelius

Greetings,

I am TriShonne Tullos Cornelius, daughter of Henry and Lelia Tullos, sister of Stanley Smith Jr., Henry Jr. and Shawna Tullos. As you can tell, I know all about a blended family. I am a product of Tuskegee, attending first Lewis Adams School, where Mr. William Peterson was Principal and role model for my career to come.  I then attended Tuskegee Public School, led by Mr. Walter Bowers and Mrs. Doris Coleman. They both instilled my understanding of the necessity of discipline and fairness.  Finally, I attended Tuskegee Institute High School which consolidated to Booker T. Washington High School my sophomore year, under the unyielding love of Mr. Fletcher Jones and tightrope of Mr. Covington.  In 1993, I graduated from high school and attended Auburn University at Montgomery, graduating with a B.S. and Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education.  It was here that I learned, the education I received, matriculating through Macon County Public Schools, was second to none. Afterwards, I attended The Alabama State University and earned a Master's in Administration.

Upon graduation from college, I taught 2nd Grade at St. Joseph Catholic School before moving to Wetumpka, Alabama to teach 2nd Grade.  After eight years of teaching at Wetumpka Elementary School and becoming a single mom, I sought employment back home, needing the support of my mother and family.  It has been the greatest decision I ever made and I'm thankful, then Principal Melissa Williams gave me the opportunity.  I received a stellar education in Macon County Schools and it is a blessing to be able to make sure that other children do so as well.  I am entering my 21st year as an educator and 4th year as an administrator.  In addition, I am still working hard to make my mama proud! I am now wife to my college sweetheart and mother to Aajah Thomas and Nahvi Pace. I believe through hard work, belief in self and faith in God anything is possible.  Everyone, has  something to bring to the table. Together we all can achieve more!  As human beings, our greatest assets are the children.  We must teach them well and LET them grow!

Be Safe! Be Well! Be Blessed!
